About NeedSaving

Budgeting apps come and go. When Mint closed in 2024, many households had to find something new, and most comparison pages they found were built around affiliate commissions and star ratings that nobody could explain.

NeedSaving takes a plainer approach. Each tool gets a short description in our own words, a few facts we could confirm, such as whether it has a free plan and whether it connects to your bank, and a link to the official site. We note what to check before you share account access, and we leave out investing, trading and credit products entirely.

We don't rank tools or tell you which one to pick, because the right choice depends on how you live and who shares your money with you.

Corrections are welcome. If a description is wrong, a tool has changed its plans, or it has shut down, write to us and we will update the listing at the next rebuild.

NeedSaving lists budgeting apps, spending trackers, subscription and bill tools, receipt scanners, tax software and AI assistants people use for money questions. Each tool gets a short description written by us, a category, and a link to its official site, plus a few plain facts such as whether it has a free plan and whether it connects to your bank.

We don't list investing apps, trading platforms, credit products or loans, and we don't rank tools or give scores. A listing means a tool exists and does what we describe. It is not a recommendation and not financial advice.
